When You’re [already] on the Edge

People complain when it’s getting comfortable. There’s no challenge. There’s nothing to prove. There’s nothing to do. On the other hand, when it’s not getting comfortable, people still complain. It’s totally complicated but that’s the way it is. Life’s complicated but it’s not skewed or just unfair (and it’s funny because of the juxtaposition––if you know what I mean).

People complain when life’s on the edge. But they miss the point of the matter. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going. This literary aphorism may be used time and time again but it’s actually true.

When you’re pressured, or when you’re about to leap above that far-stretched chasm, will you be excited? Or will you chicken out?
