Think Global. Kill Local.
First of all, I want to rate the movie before we proceed with some comments and insights. From here, you can stop reading to avoid some might-be spoilers. Don’t worry, this is not a review.
6 / 10
One notch above the satisfactory level is not a bad rating for the full-packed action movie after all. Personally, I believe that the movie’s created merely for the 3D and IMAX 3D experience. I could imagine watching it in IMAX (I can’t want for IMAX in SM Lanang Premier, Davao.).
The Umbrella Corporation’s T-virus continues to ravage the Earth, transforming the global population into flesh-eating undead. Meanwhile, Alice (Milla Jovovich), awakens in the heart of Umbrella’s most secret operations facility and unveils more of her mysterious past as she delves further into the complex. Without a safe haven, Alice continues to hunt those responsible for the outbreak; a chase that takes her from Tokyo to New York, Washington, D.C. and Moscow, culminating in a revelation that will force her to rethink everything that she once thought to be true. Aided by new-found allies and familiar friends, Alice must fight to survive long enough to escape a hostile world on the brink of oblivion.
Wait, was that a review? Oops.
You see, I cannot detest to its adrenaline-fueled action scenes but I would say that the story’s kinda flop. Apart from putting the audience in a tight corner, it left the audience to expect for another sequel. I mean, when would it end? 6? 7? Might as well produce a TV series similar to that of Walking Dead or some zombie apocalypse-based thrillers. I’m not cynical. Well, maybe a little. But it would have been better if the movie ended with a strong aftertaste.
Retribution is simply defined as a punishment that is considered to be morally right and fully deserved. Did the movie really stood by its movie title? Who was punished? Is Becky the human Red Queen? What happened to the broken ribs and arms? Why did

So, is it worth watching? Yeah, preferably in 3D or IMAX.
